Experience HAS to count for something!
I am perhaps the posterboy for:
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again
Let me give you a brief history of some of the cataclysmic events of my Internet career:
- - 1998 -> ISP account revoked when a co-worker reported one of my messages as SPAM
- - 2001 -> 50% of my portfolio lost in OsGold collapse
- - 2003 & 2006 -> Total server rebuilds due to hard-drive crashes
- - 2003 -> PayPal account closed without warning or reason given (represented 95% of my current income)
- - 2006 -> $15K+ lost in StormPay, 12DP, IntGold and EMO collapse
So, now you know why the icon that appears in the address bar of all of our network sites is a Phoenix: It, too, rises from the ashes.
We have learned to roll with the punches and now finally feel a little more secure than we have ever been. The secret lies in the fact that we are now less exposed to any single catastrophic event like those listed in our recent past.
Here are the main elements of our reinforced portfolio:
- Surfing programs come and go! This is a fact of life that we accepted long ago. Although a substantial portion of our SHORT-TERM income is generated by them, we are in 7 separate programs using 4 different payment processors! No single program has more than 20% of our total spends. We withdraw 50% of our profits out of pay4surfs into other areas.
If you are interested, all details are on our Pay4Surf Page
- Standard HYIPs: Although we now generally steer clear of these, we still do keep one or two of the more solid (and different ones). Three of these (SolidInvestment, Global Online Depository and Fantastic Pay) are part of our $100 Cash Giveaway
- Private or Closed to New Member Programs We now have almost half a dozen programs in our portfolio, some dating back as far as 2001 that are EXTREMELY stable. They now represent almost 25% of our total. Of course, these too, could fail but the risk of this is much more limited and chance of multiple failures in this diversified group is even less likely. Obviously, we cannot give you links to these programs, but there are some potential future candidates on our Recommended progams Page.
- Affiliate Marketing: Although it is no longer a substantial portion of our income, we still generate income through standard Internet Marketing (ie. ClickBank) and referral programs.
Although we did not get into this situation overnight, you too, CAN develop a similar portfolio. All the links you need to do this are found above!
